Botanical name: Eucalyptus Kochii, Eucalyptus Loxophleba Lissophloia

Sustainability awareness
With minimal growing restrictions due to survivability in numerous regions coupled with their hardiness, these two Mallees are a perfect fit for commercial optimisation. These eucalyptus oils provide a sustainable foundation for a viable long-standing essential oil crop as they have the ability to withstand the harsh arid environment with regrowth cycles (coppicing) typically in 1-2 years.
Eucalyptus Kochii
A sustainable alternative species to Eucalyptus Blue Mallee and it is grown in the Western Australian wheatbelt region. Eucalyptus Kochii oil is made possible by a generation of farmers and a team of hard working people who fulfilled a long-term vision for this tough, native tree to be planted back into its original landscape.
With a range of 85% to 95% cineole (eucalyptol) concentration, this particular Eucalyptus is thus recognized as the richest eucalyptus oil (out of 700 species!) in the global market today.
The high cineole compounds in Eucalyptus kochii EO has also resulted in eucalyptus oil being used for a wide range of industrial and commercial cleaning practices as it is able to remove gum and adhesives.
Eucalyptus kochii
Is perfect as a decongestant, as it is highly concentrated, use only minimal drops at a time. If this EO is needed to use for your children, please refer to Eucalyptus Radiata
, or Eucalyptus Loxophleba; both are gentler species of eucalyptus which are safer for younger bodies.
Eucalyptus Loxophleba Lissophloia is found in northern arid parts of South Australia and far Western Australian plains, a perfectly sound Eucalyptus coming in at an affordable market price and a decent cineole level that is consistent and suitable for commercial products at 70-85%.
Eucalyptus Loxophleba Lissophloia comes from a plantation that was originally established for carbon credits and is now being managed for oil production in order to enhance soil salinity.
Herbal Folk Tradition
Eucalyptus is native to Australia. The aboriginal people in Australia used eucalyptus as a remedy for colds, sore throats, breathing difficulties, congestion relief, infections, and pain. They also burn the leaves in the form of fumigation for fever relief.
A traditional remedy in Australia is to use the leaves and oil for respiratory ailments and also the dried leaves to smoke like tobacco for asthma.
Other uses are employed for treating malaria, typhoid, cholera, and skin problems such as burns, wounds and ulcers. The aqueous extracts are used for aching joints, bacterial dysentery, ringworms, tuberculosis etc.
